Meet the Team

Michael Rohrs Headshot 72dpi.jpg

Executive Director

Michael Rohrs

Michael Rohrs is the Executive Director of Living Room and a behavioral healthcare leader with extensive experience in substance use and mental health services. His career has included senior leadership roles overseeing residential, detoxification, and community-based behavioral health programs in Florida and Massachusetts, with a focus on program development, operations, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and creating environments where people feel respected and supported.

Michael earned his MBA in Healthcare Management from Florida International University. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Archways Behavioral Health, a nonprofit behavioral health organization serving Broward County.

His commitment to Living Room is both professional and personal. Michael is a person in long-term recovery who experienced more than two decades of methamphetamine addiction before beginning his recovery in 2014. That lived experience has strongly influenced his belief that effective behavioral healthcare must meet people where they are, reduce shame and barriers to seeking help, and focus on meaningful improvements in people’s lives.

Michael was involved in the community research and planning that ultimately led to the creation of Living Room. As Executive Director, he leads the organization’s program development, operations, community partnerships, fundraising, and strategic growth.

His vision for Living Room is straightforward: create a welcoming place where people navigating substance use, mental health challenges, sex and substances, or social isolation can find connection, practical support, and pathways to care—without judgment, labels, or prerequisites.

Keith Priemer Headshot 72dpi.jpg

Peer Navigator

Keith Priemer

Keith Priemer serves as Peer Navigator at Living Room, bringing five years of experience in prevention, harm reduction, community engagement, and peer support within South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community.

Keith began his work at SunServe, South Florida’s first LGBTQ+ social service agency, where he served as Development & Community Engagement Manager. In that role, he led community outreach and testing initiatives, provided Narcan education, organized prevention and harm-reduction events, and developed partnerships with local organizations and healthcare providers to help connect people with needed services and support.

Keith joined Living Room as the organization prepared to open its doors and now provides case management, peer support, resource navigation, and community outreach. He also brings lived experience to his work and understands firsthand that recovery rarely follows a straight line. That perspective shapes the way he connects with and supports each person who comes through Living Room’s doors.

Keith’s approach is grounded in harm reduction and a simple but important principle: connection comes before treatment. He believes meaningful change begins by meeting people where they are, listening to what they need, and creating relationships built on trust rather than judgment.

At Living Room, Keith helps ensure that every participant feels welcomed, respected, and connected to the resources and opportunities that can support their individual path forward.
